This advertisement highlighted a Graduate Assistantship that was to begin in the Fall, 1986 semester. Four positions were being created and would be awarded to two students for 2 consecutive years. Each student would receive a tuition waiver as well as $3,100 stipend. The advertisment states that these positions were created as a response to "the 1983 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Plan for Equal Opportunity" and would help West Chester Universities mission for "diversifying the racial composition of its graduate program by, specifically, increasing the respresentation of Black minorities."
